So been really trying to think about the few live trades I’ve done so far. I have only been at this for a couple months, still very new. Learning and watching all I can. Wondering if I’m over-thinking and over analyzing the plays? I know Tim says “keep it simple stupid”. Maybe I need to just take a step back and just watch and see if more plays click. I paper traded for a couple months, but for some reason, it just isn’t the same feeling. Yes, it’s nice not risking real money, but at the same time, I almost need to know more what the real trades feel like. I haven’t been profitable and I’m totally fine with that, I’m expecting that in the beginning. Also, when I’m thinking of entering, I find myself frantically doing math to figure out how much I’m spending, r/r ratios and all that good stuff. In retrospect, I should have had all these plays probably written down with my entry/exit points. It happens so fast though. Sometimes, these tickets aren’t even on my watchlist. Anyone else feel like this? I think I remember Grittani talking about getting orders in ahead of time, or at least have them up on your screen ready to send. I’ll start doing all this next week and see how it goes. Kinda rambling, but just wanted to write it down.
Over analysing is something we all go through. Everytime I take a loss that is bigger than I think I should have taken, I go through a phase of fear to pull the trigger.
I get it nobody wants to go back to paper trading after trading from your account, but remember Sykes recommends doing just that when your not being consistent. I have not watched Trading tickers yet. It is high on my to do list! keep studying, keep your head up. It will come to you, I know it!!!
Simplicity, Fluidity and Flexibility are the best plans. Your mind for trading must be like water
