Alright guys so this is my first blog and I have included most of my trades that have brought me from -900 in losses over a year (some trades are not selected to be shown just for ) to almost break even in a matter of 1 and half weeks. I know 800 in one week on grand scheme of a lot of traders is not that much but I am trading with a 5400 dollar account and have built it up to 6300 and now to 6200 after todays loss but that's beside the point. I want to get to my strategy that has helped me make this gain possible but first I'm gonna start with a background of my trading. I started trading periodically in 2014 with tiny bull crap accounts on TD and a few other broker sites and just continually lost money due to lack of knowledge and also account size, I could barely cover commission fees and all that and then last year I saw Tims add about day trading and so on..So I followed his tim alerts on trades for about a month and made a lil money then got into the challenge student program. I got up every morning and traded every day starting with a 2000 account and lost a lot money and only made small wins probably every 10-20 trades. A lot of my trades are not listed on profitly due to the broker not being able to be verified on this site but essentially, I took a step back about 7 months into the challenge and realized I was over trading after losing and rebuilding my accounts to higher amounts about 4k. So once I took a step back from trading I then went back to watching all the training dvd's over and over again. I listened to them when I was driving falling asleep or just had them playing in my house whenever I was there. It was when I did this and stepped back from trading did this start to click with me. Like I said before I know nearly 1000 in a week or so isn't that much on the grand scale but when you loose almost 90% of your trades being able to nail a few strategies that work for you feel great. First strategy that I started to notice was that, I have a knact for being able to play off morning dips of overnight gappers. I noticed that when most of the stocks in this market were gapping up that they would fall almost 90% of the time at the open and I was very good at finding the bottom. Some trades I found myself at the exact bottom and it was not by luck, it was by after not trading everyday and re listening and watching the dvd's did it click with me. I found my self even being able to hold positions when getting in a lil to early, which in earlier in the year I would have cut the loss and forfeited another trade and lost more money. I was able to start seeing the patterns and I tried different stocks and looked for the hot sectors rather than the top % gainers of the day. That works for some but I found that I make my best strategies when I know the sector. Lately the Bio Tech Sector has been hot again and I have mostly been trading biotech stocks because I know how the sector reacts overall. I started seeing that just top % gainers were not the trades for me because I was not familiar with their sector and I felt like I needed more background on the stock instead of just seeing it on the gainers list and looking for a play and only getting to know the stock on a quick breeze through of its fundamentals and what not. Once I started doing this sector study overall I became way more comfortable trading and saw results instantly.  This is only my first blog and its more of a personal one on me as a trader and I will start bringing in my trades with pictures and video lessons soon because I know there is another trader like me who is losing constantly and is just looking for some sign that this is possible to make back your losses and your 6grand tuition fee for the student challenge was not a waste of time and money.
