I registered for my TD Direct Investing account, and as you would have thought as soon as it went through my

TOS account quit working. It has gone to never never land and I sent it to the trash bin as a result. There's a lot of red tape associated with the new account so I haven't got it up and running yet so I am waiting on the paperwork to clear.

It's a TFSA (tax free savings account) so I might have a chance to build it up over time. But there is a $9.99 per trade cost and there may be commissions involved. It starts out with a web-broker account. I know no REAL trader ever uses web based tools but it's a matter of what I can afford. If I don't do 100 trades over the year there is a penalty but that shouldn't be a problem with tim's techniques. All those scratches count.
