Hello again

 

Goldlotus here, so as I mentioned in the last issue I had been away from the markets since early January. I Didn't get caught up on all the things I wanted to, including these blog posts. So let's have a go at it, I'm gonna throw all of January in here as I didn't trade very much.

 

January 1st 2018 at 9:16 pm I made my first trade of the new year with Ether. I'm back to time traveling on these charts so I can't show you much detail of what was going on. Unfortunate because my brain doesn't remember the details either. This here is a 4 hour chart so you wont see my exit, it's buried under my entry. I was in and out in a little over 15 minutes, I took a small loss of $3.00.

January 3rd 2018 at 10:06 pm I got into the Ripples again. I had a great entry at $2.90 right before a run up to the $3.30's. It looks like I thought XRP might have strength to keep going up over night so I left it. It also Looks like I didn't get the chance to check on it before work the next day. By the time I got home I was at a loss down to $2.61. Bought back in a couple of hours later at $2.80, scared out again 20 minutes later at basically the same price. Almost exactly 59 minutes later (now into Jan 5th).....you guessed it back in again at $2.93, out at $2.83. That last trade does not appear on this chart.

 

Apparently I did have the mind to grab at least one screen in here so we can time travel with more accuracy on this one at least. Here's what that second XRP trade from the shot above looks like up close. Pretty obvious why I got right back out of that one. This chart is way brighter cuz I didn't run it through windows paint to write shit on it.

 

 

Here is the 3rd XRP buy that's missing from that first image. It's another 4 hour chart.

I think at this point I had gotten a bit tired of losing on XRP and I wasn't confident it would come back up so I switched gears and did a couple more trades with Ether. The first was January 7th 2018 at 10:01 pm for just a small $7.00 gain. I was in at $1164.25, out at $1173.00. The second was 2 days later on the 9th, in at $1330.00, out at $1282.91 for about a $33 loss.

 

That brings my January losses up to around $180.00 and it's only the 10th! Time for me to step away and try to refocus. The timing for which was great as the market started to take a dive very soon after.

So after this last one I stayed out completely for a month until Feb 9th, I didn't have any desire to trade, or even look. I also wasn't reading any news, I didn't want to be tempted to get back in. I didn't even realize that the whole market was actually having a major correction for about a week or more!
