Well well, back for more are you?....

 

Well OK then.

 

In the last issue I had a quick fling with DASH that ended in a tiny loss but I made a small gain on Litecoin and got ready to try on some Bitcoin Cash. Let's get into that one now, LOTS going on here!!

So The Bitcoin Cash adventure starts a little before 1 am on Dec 19th as BCH has just broken it's previous high around the $2250 mark. I bought 0.130 BCH for $302.25 USD, BCH was trading at $2325.00 USD. It was a Monday night and I was headed to bed, work at 10 am. The next morning I checked how things were doing (half my money in Litecoin and the other in Bitcoin Cash) Litecoin had dipped over night but was coming back which didn't bother me and Bitcoin Cash was up a little, so I felt good. Now stupid me forgot to charge my phone during the night so I had about %23 battery to last me the day. And of course I don't think to bring the charger to work so this keeps me from checking things for much of the day. I did check Bitcoin Cash at lunch but I'm not sure if I checked LTC. Now this particular Tuesday happened to be my staff Christmas Party for work, we had a very nice buffet dinner at one of the local brewpubs. I was actually running about half an hour late. I had to close up at work that day and even though we shut down early I still had to bus half way across town to get home and shower, change and check my moneys, then bus back the other way again even further across town. Needless to say I was in a rush, I forgot once again to plug in my phone. I get to the party with about %12 battery and I take a quick peek right before we start dinner. Bitcoin Cash is at new highs in the high $3600's, I didn't bother to look at LTC. It didn't matter I had a huge smile on my face already.

We ate dinner and just as I was in a rush to get there, I was in a rush to go. Not because I wanted to, I had to get to a store before they closed and buy a boot dryer. It had been a wet day shoveling very wet snow at work and my boots were soaked. I for one can't stand putting on wet boots from the day before. So I got a ride to the store from a coworker but as I got out of the car my phone slipped out of my pocket and onto the back seat.  I realized pretty quickly that I didn't have my phone but when I looked up to call out my coworker was already at the other end of the parking lot and gone. This was not a good feeling but there wasn't much I could do about it. I went and did my shopping hoping I would get lucky with grabbing the next bus to head back across town again as I would normally check the schedule on my phone. I actually timed it perfect! the bus rolled up just as I got to the stop. But now I've got a 40 min ride home, not being able to check on things sucks! I finally get in the door I think it was around 9:30 and I flip open my laptop to find that Bitcoin cash has started to turn around. I want to get out but I can't! I can't access my accounts without my phone! Two factor authentication on your phone can be a double edged sword. On one hand it gives your account that added security, but if you lose or seriously damage your phone you might be locked out for a while. I am powerless as I sit and watch gains slip away on both of my coin holdings. I don't even know for sure if I'll get my phone back tomorrow, this really sucks!

Thankfully my coworker found the phone on his back seat and had it with him when I arrived at work. But of course again I didn't bring the charger with me, so I'm still left waiting until I get home later that evening. BCH had actually bumped up that morning and hit $4000 USD but by the time I got out it was down to $3297. Even still I made just over $123, my biggest realized profit yet!!

So far I'm not off to a bad start. I've had more wins than losses, and my gains have been bigger than my losses, let's see how long I can keep this up!

If you have two factor authentication enabled for your trading accounts through an app on your phone......KEEP YOUR DAMNED PHONE CHARGED AND DON'T LOSE THE BLOODY THING!!!!!
