Hello again,
Alex (goldlotus) here, in this issue I find a new dance partner for a quick fling, her name is Dash, how fitting. We met on the evening of December 16th a little after 7. I can't remember why I was coming to the dance so late on my day off, shopping, laundry, I don't know, the details of this one are pretty fuzzy. What I can tell you is that this was not a winning trade.
Again we're time traveling here so the charts are lacking detail. This is a 1 hour chart, and you can see my entry and then my exit just below (about 30 min later). I really can't remember anything about this one it was so quick. But I'm gonna take a stab and say that I was probably out shopping and then came home looking for action. I most likely jumped in NOT looking at the longer time frames. I feel like if I had been, I would have seen that I had probably missed the whole move already. On the plus side, even though it did go against me I got out quickly and had a minimal loss of just a few dollars.

P/L: - LOSS!!! just $8.02, and I am just fine with that!
Apparently after my small loss I still had the itch (no not crabs or anything, I know you were about to go there!) so I bought some Litecoin (not crab shampoo), 1.682 was what I could afford. LTC was trading at $324 USD/LTC so it cost me about $545. I was looking at the price of LTC up near it's highs and felt good about it having more up. And as my luck goes, right after I get in it starts to go the other way. Now I bought at what was actually a good price as per the breakout level for this small move, I just got in a couple of days early, again. I held on as it slid by $20 and finished down the next day. Then on day two we started to see more strength, again I held the whole day and got a pretty good exit right near the top for a small gain, but only with half of my position. The reason I only sold half was because I had an eye on Bitcoin Cash and wanted to jump in on that as well. BCH hit a new high that day (Dec 18 2017) then consolidated before starting to make another push close to midnight. I had sold the first half of my Litecoin around 10 pm so that I could be ready if Bitcoin Cash tried to breakout. The other half of my Litecoin unfortunately did not do so well. Right after I sold the first half, LTC went into a steep decline that would last for 3 days! I ended up selling the rest 2 days after I sold the first half for a small loss when it didn't look like things were about to improve.

P/L: - PROFIT!!!! $18.46 USD even though I lost a bit on the second half, my gains on the first half were greater so I still made a few bucks.
Again, just a very small gain, but it's a gain and not a loss and I am very grateful for it. Now you might be wondering why I got such a good exit on the first half and not the second. There is a reason for this, not a good reason or one that I'm happy about, but life happens and there are lessons to learn from all of it. You get to hear all about these lessons coming up in the next issue, in T minus......
thanks again for reading
Peace
Alex
