I'm back logging into my Profit.ly account kinda with a lesson on life and trading.
Back in 2015, I grew my accounts up to 100k -- then, with baby on way (should never been trading) and just enjoyed the moment. I pushed on got more cocky and too more risks. I shorted the market using TVIX (never again) using these triple leverage junk ETFs, it's more like lose triple your money like I did -- it was the window maker. In the end, my family is apart and I lost 70k. (more on women, families, but that's another topic)
All in all, I am trying to come back. In my interactive broker account, I'm back up 22% in a short time.
But how to recover my nearly 70k loss? Seems like impossibilty or more like a lot of work. Not sure I can do it again. Turn 3k into 100k. But listening to all your guys story and the past when I was on my game I know I can.
Don't let the market teach you a 70k lesson like it did me.
If I'm up again, I plan to scale back, back to a smaller account. Human nature and greed, cockyness.
I could of got to the next level but for the market lesson. Work hard to come back all I can do.
The emotions are gone and now I'm just working to fix things and get a second chance.
damn. my biggest losses were playing triple leveraged natural gas ETF's last heating season. really happy to see you are on the uptrend. i have about 30k to make back and have unrealized 4k now to post. good luck and hope to see you in here over 100k soon.
just focus on the patterns, don't think about the money or it will effect your trading. I took a 65k hit last november and wiped my whole account out in two days lol
agree, actually no longer thinking about the money, just patterns like before, feel like my losses were my evil twin trading, i plan to post everything here when i do. i know i'm better but not there yet. i have a day job again so, swing trading mostly and not taking big risks. i'll be back.
