Thought it would bounce and did after I sold, could have made .18 but sold too soon off it's bounce. bad long buy all around.
If you analyze this trade you'll see how funny it is. I had never shorted a stock before and I wanted my risk/reward to be about $10-$20 both ways. Basically with trading commissions to break even either way. This was my first short sell of all time. And although it may sound dumb, I wanted to try doing it before with this stock as I thought I saw the top. and I had never executed that type of trade before. Would have preferred a profit but I'll take the practice. It spiked after I covered.
Biggest loss thus far. I would have cut losses sooner but I didn't have any day trades left and I paid dearly. I've learned that I will NEVER enter a trade again without a day trade available. It's not worth it.
In and out on roughly once cent profits. that's the name of the game. had entry and exit points in sight and simply wanted to profit. Not holding too long. :)
We'll see if I got out too early. Always happy to take profits. This was my first $100 profit since joining. Oh, and did I mention it happened within 15 minutes? :) I'll be looking to play this over the coming days off of support and resistance.
I did a lot of playing with DCTH. In and out 3 different times and all were profitable. I'm not good at "holding" runners yet. but either way made $130+ over 3 trades.
