My journey began back in 2012 when I took some classes at the Online Trading Academy, I learned there about how important support and resistance plays a role in trading. I love using support and resistance areas for my entries and exits. My first attempt at penny stocks was that I bought 1000 shares of SIRI at .13 cents and sold it at .78 which increased my account to $800. I thought that this was great and wondered how often this could be done. I continued to trade penny stocks until....... I ran into this one stock that I bought and that this one kept changing their name, 3 times I think. I watched this one run from .75 to 1.10 so I reinvested my $800 in this stock at 1.10 and it ran to 1.15 then dumped I was so pissed that this was going in the wrong direction and I kept adding to it every few months hoping it would change direction, it didn't so to this day I am holding this stock in hopes it revives itself. These are some of the mistakes Timothy Sykes talks about in his video's.
I then took classes to be a financial planner recommended by a friend, and earned my series 6 and 63 licenses at Primerica. Here I learned about the SEC and Finra. I learned about different types of retirement plans, life insurance plans, annuities, etc. I held licences for all these products to sell to customers. I saw that most of these products only increased my retirement account by 8% or less every year. This was exciting to my boss/mentor, he was sold on this way of making money and growing retirement accounts. I quickly saw that people were handicapped when it came to their retirement accounts. People below the age of 50 could only invest $5500 per year and over 50 could invest $6500 per year and they could not use any of the money until 59 1/2 yrs old.
I quickly realized that this was not what I was looking for because I still didn't have full control on how my money was being used to increase my retirement money. So I thought there has to be a different way of making money and increasing my net worth.
Good info thanks
That was only part 1, their will be a part 2 and 3. The journey has been off and on since 2012
