June Trading Recap -$587
Although I Lost $587 in June I got way better as a trader.
I made money and lost money.
When I lost I made adjustments
The most notable adjustments I made were:
1. Setting a Max Daily Loss of -$50.
- This will have slippage because it's only after I take the loss that my broker locks my account. My problem isn't cutting losses quickly however, it is waiting for legit setups to occur and exercising patience until that happens. I made this adjustment after I had a -$1,000 day across 10 different trades and none of them were legit setups that I normally trade. "Never lose money". That's the idea behind this move.
2. Stop trading like a child
- This is a good way of saying be a pro, treat this as something I am going to do for the next 50 years of my life. Don't just come to the market and hop in a trade because I "think" I can make money in the setup. That's how a child plays this game. I am only picking setups that I know I have an edge in and that I have shown to be consistently profitable in.
This means not jumping into random setups like a random stock spiking, or a random stock dropping. This also means not jumping into setups that alerted by other traders in chat. There setups are theres alone. If I pull up the stock they alerted and my own setup starts to form after a few minutes with a good risk reward, I'll take the trade.
Also the first adjustment that I made will help with this because I will be forced to only make the best trades on the day.
Looking forward to my first green month ever in July!!
