Been studying all the video lessons and I have decided to try trading options from one of Tim's conference videos. I know options are a whole other ball game but I seem interested and invested in how they move with the stock prices. Still trying to find my niche and what I'm more interested in. So for now I'm just trying to stay transparent to different trading set ups and methods while still following most of Tim's main rules. I believe the rules can be applied to a lot of different trading styles and still be profitable. I sat and watched option charts and compared them to stock price movements for months before placing my first option trade. Im learning a lot more of the difficulties with just experiencing trading them. I have a long ways to go for educating myself and am just taking it as slow as I can without over trading.
As for this trade- Stock was up a ton at market open and is considered way over extended and noticed the big Mj sector names tumbling rapidly so I decided to take this put option at $4 as a sympathy play as it took a little longer to react . As soon a I purchased it the stock started to drop pretty rapidly and I seen that I had over $300 gain so I was happy with that and took it off the table. Stock completely broke out again and went to the moon of $97. That why you need to make your play and exit the trade off your winning or loosing mental stop. It could have been a very hefty loss If I held to long.
Hey dude, I found your post really helpful. Could you let me know if you find any other useful information about options trading; I'm interested too.
