Stocks to Watch 2017/08/07 by AWard

MYOK- Made a good trade off this stock today with just 200 shares.  Then made a desperate stupid trade at the end of the day because I thought it would end strong.  I didn't wait for any confirmation.  Just gut.  Looking to go either way on this stock tomorrow.  This is a huge move on earnings and just the first day.  Look for the break above 32.30.  Look for a gap down and short into pops.  Either way, tomorrow may lead to good profits.  Look for confirmation first.

 

WTW- Made a good trade above the 42.20 previous day breakout.  Volume lower today but may still move. Looking for it to trade above 43.73.  Right at the oversold area but still has room to run.  Shorts have 6.5 days to cover.  Target is 44.10 - 45.00  If stock gaps down, look to short into pops off the EMA.

 

JKS- Broke above consolidation today.  Looking for a continuation.  Decent float size of 20M.  Shorts have 4.8 days to cover so would not play a significant role in squeezing the stock up.  Just under overbought territory; has history of going over it on breakouts. Buy over the breakout of 29.01.  Price target is 29.95.

 

ON- SMH the ETF for semiconductors made a good move today and contributed to the stocks move.  The stock also had good earnings.  Stock has more room to run.  Looking for the stock to trade above 16.38.  Target is the high of 16.93.  Next target is 17.15.

 

FOLD- Stock set a higher low on the daily chart.  Up on earnings news.  Finished the day very strong after a huge drop from premarket gap up.  Looking for this stock to break past 14.05.  Still below overbought territory.  First target is 14.70 then 15.00.  

 

MTOR-  Up today because of news of presenting at a conference.  On an upward trend and at the breakout level.  Looking stock to break past the whole number of 19.00.  Target is 20.00.  Shorts have a 7 ½ days to cover.  Could add a bit to the squeeze.  Stock just below overbought territory.

 

BITA- Broke out above year highs.  No news.  Stock has cash but a lot of debt.  Huge company but low float of 17.5M.  Stock has room to move to 39 but may see resistance at 38 just because its a whole number.  Chart is kind of beaten down. Right at 2 and 5 year resistance levels as well. Looking for a gap down at the open.  Look to short into pops.  Look to go long over 37.81 with targets of 18.15 and 19.00.

 

CORT- Biotech stock that spiking on the 4th day after earnings.  Volume just above average.  Received news today and broke above previous day ending today strong.  Looking to go long over 15.08 unless a gap down.  Stock is in overbought territory be  can still move a bit more before selling off.  Shorts have 6.2 days to cover.  Target is 15.50-16.00  Look closely at the biotech ETF LABU as it is coming back up off of support; however, made a lower low on the daily chart.

 

VSTM- Have this stock on alert.  The stock has been consolidating and now basing on the 8 EMA.  Looking for the stock to break above today’s green day of 3.98.  Looking of a swing trade. Total shares in 1000 so start with 500 then add 250 and 250.  Stock is a previous spiker.  First target is 4.67.  After that 5.00.

 

SID- Stock up on news.  Gapped up over breakout level of 2.50.  Looking for a continuation move past 2.70.  Looking for a .10-.20 play on this stock.  

 

EFII- Testing a bounce play from this stock.  The stock dropped hard after earnings on the 4th of August.  The stock bounce back 2.50 today.  Look to buy over the break of 29.63.  Gap fill is 40.77. Beware that when the stock rises, people are looking to get out because of the big drop.  Do not hold long.
