Hey guys! I have been reading and educating myself on stock trading for a couple of months now and I finally opened an account and made my first actual trade today. How'd it go? Well I made a rookie mistake and had no patience whatsoever. I found the ticker through a twitter post, looked at the graph for a couple of minutes and decided to buy the break out. I bought in at 0.0073, and 2 minutes after it crashed down to 0.006. I immediately noticed that the stock was overextended, since it was 70% up. If I would've waited 3 more minutes, I could have bought into the dip and made a good profit. Instead I ended up loosing 40 dollars. Gotta stay patient, and plan my entries better. All comments and tips are appreciated!.
VPCO huh?
Don't let this get you down. I think VPCO is on the way out and may be de listed soon. I made my biggest loss by holding when I should have cut losses quickly as you did today. I would be much better off if I had.
Probably the best advice I can give is that if you miss the opening bid, wait for at least 20-30 minutes to see if it is just a morning spike or if it is going to continue climbing. Most of the stocks I have looked at recently have had a morning spike with a dip immediately following which is where the best dip buy potential is.
As i understand on some videos of Tim, you can still earn even on bearish stock.
