Been noticing this pattern especially with really hot stocks. On day 2 during premarket trading after initial spike, prices rise up gradually but then drop all of a sudden at 7:30am. This is probably from all the people taking profits before going to work. But then when it reaches 9am, the stock pops and rises really quickly before making another drop-off again.
