I'm not the author, just really dig the layout. 

For long and short traders like me, I am using the CODE column to indicate "LONG" or "SHORT". Your formula for $ return column should be: =IF(W4="SHORT",-1,1)*(([@[SELL PRICE]]*[@SHARE])-([@[BUY PRICE]]*[@SHARE])) for all trades to ensure correct P/L.
