@kcbkknnk : I see you shorted CCCR. I am using thinkAndSwim practice account. I try to short. It rejected my order saying that stock is not available for short. Just curious what broker you are using. 3k is good profit. I can only imagine. since my account is so small :)

@tomfinn92 : Hi Tom, I am just starting with trading. right now I am using robinhood and I have found out that I cant buy and sell fast as they have limits. I have read your post about VRAY, very impressive. I am wondering what broker do you use. another question is reading here my watch list is growing but I am missing out in spotting the break out. If you can help me out with some tips it would be great. thanks and wish you success in trading

@alixc83 I use Interactive Brokers and E Trade. Been using IB more lately because commissions are lower and I can keep a stop limit for overnight trades as protection, which I can't do on E Trade.

Also, I'm usually unable to trade at the market open, so I've been looking for swing trade opportunities or afternoon trade setups. What has been working for me lately is looking at stocks near day highs and also near 52 wk highs to buy after 2 or 2:30 PM for strong moves into the close, and some I'll hold overnight. I'm still learning, too, but hope that helps!

@haitanlion : Volatile is moment of stock. High Volatile is it goes up and down like crazy. Liquidity is how many shares are being traded. I am myself a student so knowledge above is best of understanding.

I agree with you Rae. I hated when it went up to 3.80 and cancel my limit oder of 3.80 and set it to 3.60 :(. currently I am also used robinhood and kinda getting allergic as I have small account and they threaten me to mark as pattern trader.

Hey Adam, I am very new here. Trying to setup the computer so that I can look at the charts. Do you recommend any software that I can use to see stock data. at this moment I use trendingview.com

@alixc83 I primarily use DAS Trader Pro, OptionsHouse, and ThinkOrSwim. There are plenty of brokers that offer Demo accounts and I highly suggest Paper Trading before you dive right into a live account. StocksToTrade is the ideal choice for all the best market data and trade ideas. Make sure you develop your strategy and find what you are good at. And above all make sure to watch and read everything you can from @timothysykes. "Trade Safe!"

5. Master your emotions, greed and fear! When you see your stocks rise you'll have visions of buying a million dollar home with that $300 you just made. Or, you'll start measuring boxes to see which ones you can live in comfortably after losing $1000. Seriously, you are your own worst enemy. Be aware of that and condition yourself to be as impartial as possible about a trade.

6. Money management. Learn about stops and % of risk you're willing to take on each trade.
