Final test with Etrade today. This one went much better as price action didn't immediately reverse on me as soon as I entered. Still couldn't get in or out without market orders, so being in the trade was making me nervous. Hit the sell as soon as I saw that I had recovered the losses from the two previous failed etrade trades. Probably won't stick with etrade much longer. Seems to add a level of "unknown" that adds more risk. Just glad to basically break even here.

Trying another Etrade trade. Same scenario here, couldn't get filled without hitting market, which of course filled at the top of the green momentum candle on the 5m. When the momentum ended, couldn't get out quick enough, so the sell order was finally filled well below where I had hoped. 1m was looking good, but should have waited for a pullback to enter. Still, Etrade was not near quick enough. Not sure if I need to practice more or if just isn't the best platform for quick trades.

Testing out E-Trade here. Could not get any pre-market orders filled. On this one, was trying to catch the first big green candle after open, but by the time the Etrade web platform caught up it was mid-way through the second green candle, which was a topping-tail into a big red candle. Couldn't get the sell order to fill without setting at market, so got a terrible exit order. Definitely some technical skill that I need to practice to use Etrade, but it also seems quite slow for snipes.

NERV was popping up on momentum scan pretty consistently, so took a look. The 30m and 10m charts were basically all green so far, so jumped it. Rode a small dip, and then bailed on a small gain. Trying to get some wins in place.

This one popped up on the momentum scanner and was rocketing. Made a quick decision to enter small and see if I could ride it a bit. Ended up entering into a halt (yay...) but luckily after the halt it jumped up quickly before reversing giving me enough time to take the single.

Giving back some of the profit. Morning spike ended sooner than I'd hoped, although it wasn't unexpected. Still + overall though today.

Trying to ride opening momentum that began about an hour and a half before market open. Quick in and out for small gains to get back on track. No greed, just taking a quick win.

Posting these next three trades because I committed to being open and honest. This one, saw some great momentum pre-market and was hoping for a quick dip off VWAP at open to resume the momentum, but didn't notice the obvious triple top at D High. Stock dropped, got out once it crossed VWAP. Simple mistake, but got me antsy for the next trade.

Test trade with smaller size than previous trade, but should have been smaller. Testing setting stop below previous swing low to survive dip. Bought a dip on a strong up-trend. Ended up going sideways for a while. Stop was 3.75, Target 4.10 based on uptrend. After 30 min moved stop to 3.88 and Target to 3.91 to cut losses. Staying in w/ orig S would have let me hit High 3.98. Too much risk for $0.03 gain though. Bad timing.

Tried following an uptrend that was successfully trading in paper account. Forgot to downsize from default, so pos too big. Set stops too tight and got stopped out of the dip. High ended up being around 5.93 on next trend up, so hypothesis was sound, just didn't mechanically execute.
