So i just chatted with some suretrader employees, and came to the conclusion that
the software - the dekstop pro or das trader pro is the best one to choose if you wan to trade stocks. And the fees is 104 USD per month with level 2 information included.
but here's the thing, "once you've opened an account with suretrader and fund it with money you cant "paper trade" with real live feed or stock simulator."
So i cant paper trade to test my strategies etc..
And also the "free demo" or trail where you can paper trade is only valid for 7 days. If i want to paper trade any longer than that i need to contact das trader and buy a monthly subscription.
in a caouple of days i will through 1000 $ into suretrader account, to just trade with 20% of my capital, and see how it goes, but i am afraid that the commisons alone will make me only go break even at best if have a bad trade.
I dont know, i have mixed feelings i dont feel like funding suretrader with 3000 USD, they are really shitty broker.
What would you do in my place?
@brazin TD ameritrade is it better than suretrader ? and do they have good shorts? and do they also accept non us residents.
@aktiehandlaren I am not sure about being a US resident, but their paper trade software doesn't allow shorts at least for smaller cap stocks. I like TD Ameritrades trading platform especially its scanner very easy to set up and very helpful finding stocks, but I've never used suretrader so i can't compare it.
@brazin does it cost to use td ameritrade screeners and level 2 information etc
I am non us resident as well and asked them, unfortunately TD Ameritrade is only for US residents..
