Is Suretrader a good broker for trading penny stocks or stocks between 1-10 $.
I was planning to both shortsell and buy long (stocks).
I know that suretraders has 10 000 ticker symbols to short, but is it a good one? And are their fees high?
The reason i am considering opening an account with suretrader and use das trader software witch cist 104 USD dollar per month is because i cant open an account with etrade interactive brokers.
I live in sweden so i cant open etrade account, and i dont have enough money to open an account at interactive brokers. I have 3000 USD to start with.
I know that suretrader is offshore broker and anything can happen. But they have no PTD wich is good, but still i am not going to trade lika a maniac, i am going to trade maybe 3 or 5 trades a week. I am worried about how fast the executions are with suretrader das trader, and if suretrader has good shorting list (i dont want to miss out on good shorting opportunities just because of my broker. And do suretrader have glitches when it comes to their trading platform.)
One thing more, i dont know if suretrader has high commisons.
I know that if i trade something like 500 shares it will cost me 4,95 per trade. But what if i trade 20 000 shares then it will cost me 0,005 per share wich becomes 20 000*0,005=100 USD. And i dont know if thats high commision rate if we talk about pennystocks wich can have under 1 dollar prices.
@aktiehandlaren no there is not
@aktiehandlaren They can't do anything about it if you go offshore
@aktiehandlaren CP is CenterPoint and yes IB is interactive brokers.
Having joined Suretrader two months ago - Commission fees vary from $10 - $6 per trade (two tickets - for each order - to buy and sell) I joined Suretrader because I love short selling but you will find that the stocks that are running will most likely have no shares to short. Provided there is no SSR it cost $25 to locate shares and depending on the stock an additional (less than 1 cent) per share to borrow but yes you will find shares to short :)
