In trying to strike a balance between cutting losses quickly and having patience, GPRO could have gone either way. Who knew? One would have to wait for the spike to materialize/show itself.

Hey thanks and I thought so too but I couldn't execute the trade with Interactive Broker's a window popped up after I entered everything and wanted to proceed but said potential day trade and I couldn't get filled.

@Woodsmen @Woodsmen IB is the only one to use if you're trading from auz. it keeps the fees way down. i was using Halifax and it pretty much wiped out my account with fees alone. also trading from an Australian account you can't short, just one of the rules over here. haven't tried it with my IB account yet only opened it the other week. you don't need $10,000 to open either. i did it with $2000 and traded with it. good to hear your in the game, just study flat out and make it your own. I'm only new at it myself, been in the challenge about 3 months so far. any dramas just ask and i'll try to help. i asked a lot of questions about how we get going over here but there wasn't much help so i just winged it and learnt so hard lessons on my own about the Australian brokers.

Hi gavin thanks for the info my contact at IB definitely says it has to be 10k and he says you can short shares ?? its all confusing. Would love to pick your brain if possible but same time don't want to be a bother let me know your skype name if you have one and i could contact you that way ??

Hi I use interactive brokers but looking to get stocks to trade as I'm demo trading still and that platform looks more user friendly than IB :)
