Speculative monkeypox play. Sold too early (up to $2.62 now) but I got spooked out after getting in premarket yesterday but no major movement. Getting sloppy means going back to the books.

Bought too high, didn't wait for a big enough dip and sold into intraday resistance.

Bought 3950 shares @ $14.27 of this previous runner premarket on WHO monkeypox news; sold @ $15.27 to close profits. Made several more in-and-out dip buys as price action moved between $14.25 to $15.50 intraday.

In and out of a speculative monkeypox play that was up premarket. No real price action so I'm out for small gains.

Bought in/out multiple times on the way down, so this is a total/average. Held for a few days but absolutely zero bounce. Got out premarket because today is Monday and the market is full of other opportunities. Lesson here: STOP TRYING TO CATCH FALLING KNIVES.

Tight consolidation through last half of the day yesterday and spiked late into after hours. Dropped premarket this morning but still maintained at $2.60ish. Took a small swing trade overnight and caught the morning spike on small news this morning. Also practiced not taking too large a position on this one.

Entry comments: Partial fill near 10-day low on a low-volume volatile subpenny stock with a history of spiking. Looking for small gains over the next few days.

Exit comments: Got stuck in this very low volume stock. Was hoping to buy near multimonth lows and sell once it popped up any amount (as it had been doing over the previous few days), but no news + volume was so low that I had to sell over several days with a limit to get out without a loss. Most action/highest price was almost always at market open, so I set a limit and let it go. Sold final amount slightly over limit on an unexpectly nice volume pop (relatively speaking) this morning.

Bought small position on a dip + news, but no recovery bounce. Sold A/H on small bounce. Didn't want to chance holding overnight.

Perfect weekend setup. Banking profits before buying back in on a dip. Anticipating morning spike at open.

Entry comments: Rebought on a dip. Seems to be consolidating around here in the premarket. Anticipating morning spike after market open especially if the gap-up remains >10% / $0.50 from Friday's close.

Exit comments: Averaged down too aggressively and overbought too early. Anticipated morning spike turned out to be a morning panic nearly $2 off premarket high. However, volume remained high and support held with a slow upward grind from early midday onward. I ended up chasing a falling knife that happened to rebound in the afternoon power hour. Lucked out and closed out in the green. Lesson: Wait and let the market show you what it's going to do rather than think you know what will happen.
