LESSONS:
DON'T HESITATE ON THE EXECUTIONS. STICK TO THE PLAN & GO. IT FUCKS UP YOUR ENTRY PRICE. I'd have 2x the gain today if I got in at g/r.
HOLD WINNERS LONGER
-----
Didn't have anything to trade as of 9:15. STEM & MGT both were on Tim's list so there were not shorts. Cuz everyone else just traded of Tim's list & scooped them up. Or IB just never had shares. Or a mix. Whatever, doesn't matter why. There were just none. CCXI I didn't know about the news much. Just the price action from 5/10 looked fucked up. Huge climb and tank, so when it does that and then re-bounces fast, you know it has downside. Solely because everyone who bought yesterday knows it has recent downside. Fat recent downside. I honestly should have taken more, but I've been shaken up a bit after ARGS. So my loss tolerance is lower than normal.
CCXI looked super weak green open & then i grabbed some short (late on the execution cuz I hesitated) as it went red. I was scared so I got out at 4.40 when it hit first support. It's at 4.03 now at 11am, so I'm an idiot. Should have stayed in. This is a recurring problem. It's rare that I'm happy about my exit. I'm definitely missing easy gains way more than I'd be turning winners into losers. I need to correct this aspect of my trading.
BUT, I feel like my taking profits too early is hurting me. MUCH more often, I take a small profit on a morning panic & then it bounces a little and tanks further. Then ends down significantly more. It's not as often that they come back & go r/g. So I'm wondering if I held, that the larger gains would make up for the more frequent small losses. I need to try a few all-day holds in order to test this. I just had a great idea. I'll take half off at my morning panic stop and hold the other half till EOD or r/g move.

next time it might not
my CCXI opinion for tomorrow
