Volatile day on the markets with the morning gap up with Apple's earnings, sharp pull back and a closing near unchanged. Hard to say, on the short term, where this market wants to go.
CORT: Stock gapped up off the lower up trending channel line and through lateral resistance at $13.30. It traded as high as $14.34 closing at support at $13.38. There is little overhead resistance and I would look for this stock to trade into the $16.50 level if it gets over today's high. With a short ratio of 10.2 days to cover, we could see a short squeeze in here.
DVAX: After the big gap up on Tuesday and a down day yesterday it seems to have held support in the $14.60 to $15.00 range. The stock, today, traded as high as $16.55 closing at $16.05. I would look to go long over $17.00 with $20.00 as the target. Short ratio, 3.5 days to cover.
GRPN: Stock sold off in the morning down to support at $3.65 before trading strongly up to overhead resistance at $4.27 and closing at $4.23. The engulfing candle is bullish. If it can get through the overhead resistance at $4.30 then my price target is $4.75. Short ratio, 4.8 days to cover.
HZN: A stock I wrote about yesterday had another good day to day. It traded as high as $18.29 closing at $18.13. I am still looking for $20.00 for this stock. Short ratio, 11.6 days to cover should help trade the stock higher.
MTBC: In April the stock sprinted from $.30 to $4.00. Over the ensuing few months it has made an orderly pullback. But yesterday it broke out of the falling channel and today traded up to resistance at $2.40, closing at $2.15. I would look to go long over $2.40 with $3.00 and $4.00 as targets.
MTW: Stock broke out of a large wedge formation and gapped higher trading as high as $6.90 closing at $6.75. If the momentum should continue then $7.50 and $9.00 are my targets. Short ratio 8.6 days to cover so should add some upward pressure to the trade.
I couldn't find any opportunity in the entire week, did you?
Was away in Mexico most of the week but had a good trade on DVAX early in the week.
