NDX made a nominal all time new high today, but with the SPX backed off most of the day. The indices did rally back near the end of the day to close near resistance. The charts are not really pointing in any specific direction. But, the secular bull market is intact and the primary trend is still up.
AKTX: Nice winner from yesterday's watch list going short on the G/R move and falling $1.50 from my entry level. But mid day it had a tremendous reversal trading up as high as $12.80. This is day 3 of big moves and though the stock broke through resistance today it did close below it at $11.71. Again I would look to go short on a move from G/R or long over $12.80 with a price target of $14.50.
BCLI: Stock is in a strong up trending channel since January when it broke out from its base at $2.50. At the end of February it made a high of $4.70 before consolidating down to support at $3.75. Yesterday it broke through the declining tops line and today trade through the resistance at $4.70. It traded as high as $5.10 today closing on support at $4.71. I would look to go long over today's high with multiple top resistance at $5.70. Through that level and $8.00 is the next stop.
COOL: Stock has doubled in the last week and looks to be over extended. I would look to go short either at the $18.90 level or on a G/R move. My risk would be above $19.00 (and possibly long) with $22.00 as the next resistance level.
CYCC: Stock is normally a 1 or 2 day wonder and today it gapped up from $3.75 and ran as high as $6.59 closing at $6.42. After hours the squeeze continues and the stock traded up as high as $8.00. It does have resistance at $8.00 I would look to short in the $8.00 area if it fails to break out. If it does go above $8.00 then $9.50 and $12.00 are the next resistance levels.
LL: Another nice winner from my watch list entry level of $21.06 yesterday. It traded as high as $22.73 before closing at $22.46. It is getting long in the tooth so caution is warranted. But, the top of the channel is around $25.00 and so if momentum continues we could see it at that level. Shorts, 5.8 days to cover.
NVCR: Huge move today, gapping up from $8.50 to a high of $14.30. It did drift back all day closing at $11.10 and after hours it is down to $10.90. there is major support at $10.25 area and I would look to buy on pull backs. Shorts, over 20 days to cover so we might see that add to the momentum if the stock reverses this slide.
thoughts on NVCR if it falls below 10?
probably $9.50 to start with. It has a large short position so you would need to be cautious
holding 10s well im considering entering a long position
maybe a better dip buy in the 9.50s if 10 doesnt hold
