I made note of trading more large caps in yesterday's blog, but small caps had a lot of pop to them today, so I saw opportunity and took it.
Traded RGLS, VLTC, RAX and TAXI.
I had a 100 share short in for RLGS @ $9.97, but it stopped ramping at $9.90 and I missed my fill.
RGLS - First trades were started in premarket. Obviously the stock had positive news re: promising trials Hep C results. I started some trades around 8:30. Long 200 shares avg. about $8.80 sold @ $9.08. Long 300 shres @ $8.68 on pullback before 9ish, sold @ $8.80. Long 400 shares at $8.35, sold @ $8.45. Next Long about 800 shares about $8.09, sold 600 shares at $8.12.
Next trade in RGLS at market open.....I don't have the exact average for these but averaged into 1200 shares at roughly $7.70's sold 900 around $7.86, and sold last 300 @ $7.94...... 9:45 bought 600 shares @ $7.44 sold them @ $7.48.
VLTC - SS 100 @ $5.04 and 100 @ $5.09 covered @ $4.92. Shorted 200 @ $5.12 covered at $5.03
RAX - SS 100 @ $17.68, covered for a loss @ $17.90
TAXI - SS 100 @ $8.05 covered @ $7.86
Good trading for me overall taking small loss on RAX. I still am not happy with the way I averaged into RGLS as it fell upon market open. YES, I made money, I wasn't too over my head as far as size, but nonetheless, it is the habit that needs constant....CONSTANT monitoring and tweeking. Other than that, my stop losses have been getting better.
Overall netted about $220 or so. Not bad, but my trading and I need constant tweeking, learning, adapting etc.
