I am still paper trading but trying to act like it's my own money as much as I can so I calculate risk and rewards like I would with my own money.
I look at this chart and I just don't understand how did I not exit and stayed out, but continued to try over and over, this is my first lesson right here.
So what happened? how did I make 6 trades 5 losses and one gain?
Someone alerted this spike on the chat, by the time I saw it, it already went up quite a bit, I waited for a dip, it came but nothing huge, got in too early and it dropped! I didn't wait for confirmation, that was my second lesson!
So I tried again, being stubborn, and yet again, didn't wait for the same confirmation I needed a second ago and this time lost 1250, I panicked and got out cause it was so quick, and instead of playing the morning panic I've become it. Third lesson!
The next trade should have been the only trade to make, right after the dip and taking the meat of the move, but I thought, hey.. It spiked, so now there will be a panic, so I bought it right when it shifted. It didn't bounce once, so I tried again, didn't bounce twice.. so I tried again, not noticing I was buying long in the dip, Fourth lesson!
Mind you it all happened within 10 minutes..
Obviously, there were a lot of emotions involved, which I tried to be aware of, like guilt and disappointment, I should have controlled them and not trying to try again and cover my loss.
A lot of important lessons here.
