Not a good day at all, there were plays i could of made but i didnt want to chase, I wanted to get in on $WATT earlier but it already went up about .30-.40 cents after tims alert, and didnt want to chase, The fact that their catalyst dealth with Apple I shoulda chased.
So instead i broke one of tims rules and tried to force some plays and lost, I played the same stock twice today $TRXC. Earlier at open it was a total mistake when i first bought it, I meant to buy a different stock and catch the spike, but the quote i punched in never got typed in and instead TRXC was already in for the quote, So I seen it having a morning panic and i immeditaley sold out for about a $48.00 loss,
I played the same stock later in the day, i was watching it I got in right after it broke resistance at 2.77ish. My order got filled at 2.83, I was watching the level 2 and seen some big bidders, it got up to i believe 2.89, I shoulda coulda and woulda sold but i got greedy and wanted more. I would of made about $30-$40, and instead i ended up losing $69, I put a stop loss at 2.78, but for some reason i got filled for 2.73ish.
Anyways not a good day and im not happy, So far ive made 1 profitable trade and 3 losing trades for a total loss of about $100.
Anyways its done and over with, im going to forget about it and learn from it.
I think for now one im only going to trade the first 2-3 hours of the market and the last hour, Im a new trader and from what ive been told and what ive seen first hand is there is little movement and volatility.
I made my 2nd trade today around 2:30, which wasnt bad now that i look at it, i would of made some money if i sold faster, instead of getting greedy and wanting more.
Anyways got to get back at it monday, I may switch brokers, it is my understanding interactive brokers settles money in 1 day? Etrade takes 3 days.
Also since i have to abide the PDR, how do you go about picking longs to go overnight with?
