$MGT Entered into an earnings play without doing my research, got excited. Then it dropped through the floor 30 seconds after i bought in. Hard lesson learned, do your research.
Entered with the breakout looking for a bump. Got greedy when it hit 0.60 and held way to long. Sold at 0.54 for a $246 profit less commissions. Still a great trade on a $3500 account.
Held overnight, was looking for $2.20 sell price but was unsure it would get there. So I decided to take my profits at $2.17 for a nice $250ish after trade fees.
First trade in a while due to lack of confidence. Did my research, dip bought for a quick profit of $126 on a $3000 account
Entry comments: Confident in earnings to be announced after market close. Bought on the dip. Goal is to sell between $1.00 - $1.20. Will sell at $1.00 if it reaches before close. Otherwise hold overnight.
Exit comments: Company released positive earnings. Share price partially reflected this. Decided to take the gain.
Had a slight trigger finger error. Re-bought minutes later.
Understanding was wrong. More practice is needed.
Bounce up slightly after entrance then showed signs of falling. Exited for a broker fee loss.
