Speculative play on GENE. Big gap up yesterday with huge spike, but came down midday. Looking for a good bounce with potential for R/G, but just weak with not enough volume. Big seller around $1.35 and couldn't break through. Rule #1 and cut my losses. Screwed up my exit somehow and ended up adding 100 to my position instead of selling 350--terrible.

Small position on this premarket gainer--closed Friday $2.56 with premarket high of $3.62. Great execution at $2.76 and if it could break $2.81, it could run much further. Tested resistance a couple of times so I let this go as it seemed to want to drop further. Very little gain, but great experience STICKING TO THE PLAN. I'm happy with both the entry and exit, and even reading the market. Video lessons are starting to click. Getting ready for this marathon!

Entry comments: Bought this wireless comms stock to hold overnight. Testing its highs with a history of good breakouts and was holding support around $3.60 toward the close. Higher lows in the past couple of weeks and first green day, so if it breaks past $3.75, it could run up nicely. I'll plan to take singles in the $3.90's and watch the volume.
Exit comments: Gap down at open and took a few bounces, but it got up to $3.81. Sold when it reached a new high and was holding $3.80. Messed up my exit when I realized I only sold 100. Had to sell the rest of the 150, but still made a profit. It could potentially go higher, but it's moving so slow, I'll take my singles.

Bought this former runner at the end of the day on its first green day. Had a history of gapping up on this pattern and going off its highs, it had potential to run up some more. Got the gap and could have held longer as it was going up, but I was trading on my phone and just locked in little profit. Glad to see I was right on this one though.

Entry comments: First green day on OTC. History of running up and good volume right now into the close. High of day is at $4.10, so I think it can make it past that tomorrow. Looking to sell in the .20's, but will continue to watch volume and plan on selling into strength.
Exit comments: Gap up, but did not run up at open like I expected. Should have locked in profits when it went against the plan--stick to the plan!!!! Out at 4.15, took little profits, and will remember this lesson for next time.

Gap up and good news on University of Iowa Pharmaceuticals agreement during pre-market. Bought the dip, but weak bounce and volume disappeared. Need to trade more scared and get out before taking out support--no profit is better than going red! I also don't like these obscure plays with weak volume.
