Your best bet is downloading TD Ameritrades platform and using their paper money service on Think or Swim

I use ThinkorSwim to trade and it has that capability. I think it'd be helpful to get some practice on paper, but there's no substitute for experiencing the emotional swings during real trading.

@billysreign Ok that's a lot of what I have been doing right now. How much money do you recommend starting with?

i think 10k is a good number. gives you room to make mistakes without completely blowing up your account. I'm still fairly new as well but I've gotten the education first and practiced, practiced, practiced paper trading prior.

bc futures is leveraged its a double edged sword. you may be able to make a lot per point but you can also lose a lot. discipline is key. I'm still working on my patience as usual lol

@TraderH Hey I've been getting into scalping the ES and noticed you do something similar. What futures broker are you using?

Cool thanks, how much money are you using if you don't mind me asking

I recommend $7500 to $10,000 per 1 contract traded. Anything less and you risk blowing up and getting margin calls.

Well I also look for ones that are having a slight volume increase from what they normally trade, which is an indicator that is is/will break out and get more volume the day of the breakout @TannerBowl

Seeking alpha, stocktwits, Finviz, are all great resources as well. Good luck!

StocksToTrade is Tim Sykes' software, its coming out soon. Equityfeed is great but a bit spend. If you want a free one use ThinkOrSwim, they have a free 60 day trial. I currently use that
