I have been passively following Tim Sykes for the last five years, but I have not really started studying his strategies until very recently. I thought it may be useful if I blog about my experience on a weekly basis, it may attract useful advice from experienced traders in this group and may perhaps some day assist anyone starting out.
About me
- Based in the UK
- Chartered Accountant by profession
Account size
Only starting with the small account of £1000 to limit my exposure
Knowledge Bank
To build my knowledge bank, I currently have access to:
- 30 day boot camp (on day 19)
- The complete guide to Penny stock (read through almost 60% of it)
- Penny Stock Framework (Part 1 and 2): I have started watching Part 2 directly (40 mins into it, so miles away from completing it)
- Considering buying Tim Gratani's (ticker 2), but still researching it to see if it requires knowledge of ticker 1, in which case it will be far too much material to go through at the moment
- Tim's video lessons here
- Daily chat (just seeing what Tim and other traders are doing)
Actual trades since studying Tim's strategies
As you know the positions are v small but again the aim is to learn (emotional intelligence, risk management, identifying the right plays etc) as opposed to making tons of money. I cannot be bothered with paper trading, as I think when the actual money is involved the way I behave/react is likely to be much different!
Please feel free to critque and give advice!
