If you're paper trading how come it shows up on profit.ly?
It would mean one correct trade. But its all about the gain percentage, win loss for me, the success of the predictions. Also the ability to handle the emotions with real money also. Thats why I dont value how much money i make at the moment. Your trading at the moment is really good though!
Hey guys, I do have a profile on here for my real money trades @alleywolf, I wasn't happy with how I was trading and forced myself to paper trade while I study and build up consistancy. Profitly doesn't upload for paper accounts, eventhough I paper trade on ToS so I manually enter the trades. This profile is mostly a tool to help me track my progress and to keep with my blog's transparency commitment. Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask questions. I'm still learning and not a guru, but happ

Well, my first real trade took place today on EBIO got in at 2.35 and out at 2.49. Only bought 100 shares to get my feet wet. I saw it going up in pre-market (thanks to STT) but wasn't sure whether or not it would be a washout at open. It kept going up; felt as though I chased it. Soon after I bought it, it dropped to 2.25. It finally went up to the high 2.40's and I could see it wasn't going to break the wall of sellers at 2.5. I put in my sell at 2.49 and it got filled.

Well, it is an old Pump so idk.
I think you answered your own question with your last sentence.
The news on OPTT is junk. It's a 1m deal on -12m rev... this is nothing more than day traders turning into piranah's. Anything with negative revenues is going to crash to floor. Unless it is Amazon or Tesla..... ; )

@Turbobob Hey Bob, I'm curious as to what broker you use?
Suretrader, IB, and Td Waterhouse
sure trader, IB and TD Waterhouse
Thanks, any specific one you recommend for a small account?
Probably IB. Good commission structure and usually have shares to short.

Trading tickers is awesome.. Taught me a lot, just now becoming patient enough to not force plays
Think or Swim? Haha that's great. Education is key

Dude i know how you feel i lost $100 yesterday trading a chart pattern i KNOW shouldn't have. AMRS i was looking for 10% but i missed my buy in at .63 bought in anyway lol at .69 and sold at .63.
I recommend reading the premarket action. most of the times when the price action is fading before the bell rings, the stock is most likely to sell off. Keep in mind that the overall chart is a massive sell off. so what ever chance that the bag holders get to have, they will sell for a minor loss. News may be good but the weight of the sellers long term is greater. you see this all the time. so read the price action before the bell. one more thing. if the price action already had a parabolic mov
all the best.
What brokerage do you use? It's happened to me once and I didn't realize it was my funds weren't settled; i was able to call them and place a trade over the phone, and since it was my first time they allowed it. If you're still stuck in, and it goes lower tomorrow, it's worth a shot giving them a call.. The old fashion way of day trading, calling your brokerage to place the trade. Good luck!
