I got a short position on ticker "I". There's definitely a big firm holding it up. It's break downtrends and flagging up left and right lol. I shorted at 15.4 (sadly), PDT rule had me hold it overnight sadly. I think it's going for 17.5, would hate to miss the massive dump though.

@RolandWolf I saw one of your interview video and it's like reading a book. It can be 500 pages long, but you really soak up about a sentence worth that you keep forever. In that interview, you didn't take profits early because you were looking at the "big picture" of what it was doing. There you took further gains and that has helped me alot when I trade today. By trading the big picture setup and not worry too much about the small noise in between, but not to also be complacent about the little noise that goes on.
@marzsec20 So I can already day trade with my current TD Ameritrade account then? Is there a minimum balance in TD Ameritrade to be able to day trade? I am more interested in just being able to day trade vs shorting anyway. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
yes, however keep in mind that the funds you use for any particular trade will remain unsettled for a day or 2. Size your positions accordingly
I can go long and short on ETrade. I used them back in 2014 and they never had shares to short. Needless to say they have gotten alot better and I can usually find shares to short. I know the feeling, sucks to only trade one direction. Definitely a handicap when the tide turns lol.
You need more than 25k to day trade (exit in and out in a day). Otherwise, you fall into the PDT rule if you get in and out within a day, in the rolling 5 business day. Your account will be locked for 90days if you do that.

@Snake89 terrible chart and a lousy 6% gain, maybe a little bounce but overall its a shit setup and you need to study otherwise you'll keep taking shit setups and your account will go nowhere
@timothysykes okay, I just didn't understand what you meant by "terrible chart" because what would assume or technically consider this to fall under that? Just because it is a sinking ship? But I was saying it's gotta pullback for correction if anything and Friday closed green holding at 0.60, each time it dipped down it retraced right back up. I try not to trade if I can't see 15-20%. But I am at 15% gain on this, just wanted to take profits alot higher. Which my thought was 0.80s
@timothysykes I am not a millionaire trader like you. I would like to one day. Maybe my thought process and how I interpret this chart is incorrect.
@Snake89 you're on the right track but a 6% gain is shit, you need to study, so watch all my 5,500+ lessons then see
Good stuff! Thanks
