February 25,2022 Watchlist
CEI, IMPP, INDO and ENSV- Oil stocks have seen success as Russia declares war on Ukraine. Biden didn’t really go to far in sanctions, which was surprising to me but I suspect he just wants to keep the worst of the sanctions as a tool to deter further invasion on Ukraine. As the situation escalates, I believe that these stocks will gap but I only planning on taking advantage of the gap and not waiting for the sanctions to be announced after today presser. I know that if Biden admits that he was wrong, which is highly unlikely, and renege on the decision to stop fracking in the US, oil prices will fall along with these oil plays
PLTR, CYRN, IRNT, and BBAI- software stock have seen a rise as the threat of Cyberattacks from Russia grow. Keeping my eye on this sector not as hot as the energy plays but this is a sector to watch
CLOV- Earnings winner that is different from the rest of the runners and a little higher of a market cap
GSAT- also an earnings winner up 20%+ on the day with a bigger market cap
ENG- after breaking the $1 mark it soared 30%. Low market cap and a construction play so not a hot sector but a watch for continuation after news on that it was selected as a provider for aviation fuel and renewable diesel production plant
USWS, UUUU, SNMP, IO and TELL- some more energy plays I’m keeping my eye on
Overall Markets- The markets started off down but rallied after hearing what Biden had to say. I’m guessing because the sanctions didn't go as far as we expected but sooner or later they will reach their maximum punishment for Russia. It isn’t hard to see so energy plays will still be my main focus. No day trades for tomorrow so I took a position overnight with ENSV. Not looking to hold this for long after open because any announcement that has to deal with American oil production could be a very costly one for these low float runners. Also, Software stock seen a rise today so I want to see how much further these stocks go and to see if they could be more long lasting then the oil and energy sector.
