I started trading back in July. Had a few 1st wins and then a few losses. Decided to study and paper trade for a while. Took September off to study before going to the Trading Summit. Been mostly paper trading on STT since then. I've been keeping a journal since DAY 1. Turned it into a spreadsheet over the weekend. I almost always trade with $500 when actually trading. Anything less (especially before they changed the fees) didn't seem worth it and didn't feel comfortable risking anymore than that with my small account. So to keep it simple and somewhat realistic (as if all real trades and not paper trades), my spreadsheet is calculated as if spent $500/trade. 53 total trades. 22 wins. 3 break even. 41% winning average. Average Gain $48 and a non-factual $1056.00 gain over 4mo. Starting to find my niche, now to get back into the real trading game and stop paper trading.
