bought for $0.18 at 9:33am, panicked and bailed for $0.14 at 9:39am. overcommitted too early, was wise to bail when i did to prevent further disaster, but it was still 22% loss. lessons to learn: watch my position size (scale in next time), pay attention to the volatility and range of the bars, try to use bracket orders next time. this one loss wiped out several trades of profit.

I recall playing around with a trailing stop loss of 3-4%, which explains the 2.72% profit taken, probably on a pullback.

bouncing within a narrow band of $1.70-$1.80 at the open. i recall bailing out in fear that the strength was declining.

starter for $4.05 at 9:42am, and 2nd entry for $3.93 at 9:47am. bailed at 9:56am as i needed to get to a 10am meeting. it was a good move to exit on a small ramp up b/c the price dropped 10 min later and for the rest of the day. still working on timing, but a small profit is just as disciplined as a small loss.

trying out a swing idea to avoid a daytrade (although i found out that E*TRADE counts EACH buy order as a daytrade when you sell ANY amount and got my margin account cash-restricted until i reach $25K again!). bought late afternoon on Tues, sold for 10% profit on Fri getting tired of watching it. however, i re-entered another swing play afterwards.

$0.38 starter ~9:55am, believing it is going up another leg and consolidating. breaks through next leg up. $0.43 2nd position ~10:12am while it consolidates again. breaks through another leg. sell for 20% profit. the key again was moving on morning plays that are top gainers in Oracle, breaking through to new highs convincingly. grab meat while play is hot and in play.

swing trade recommendation from Tim Bohen. since it was in Fidelity, i applied a bracket sell order, but set the stop-loss a little too high, so i got stopped out. i re-entered a new position with a bracket as well. i want to play out this swing trade idea with a bracket.
