So I've been doing my research and was super excited because my money finally transferred over. Got on here early and got too excited. I knew that SUNE had done well and of course this morning it shot up... However it was my frist trade and I didn't think about it. I basically bought it at its high. $2.49 (ouch) ended up selling $2.13.. Needless to say I should have researched etrade a bit more because at first I didn't know if the buy had gone through other wise I would have sold sooner. Next time I will stick to the plan. I see that everyone always says that but it's human nature to get excited. Anyways first day= big loss -$489 :(
The funny part is I was up all week with paper trading.. When it comes to your own money its a lot different lol
I messed up on this one too losing $136. I could have lost a little less, but I did ok cutting losses quickly (the biggest key). The time to let go of this stock today was when it was stagnant between 2.29-2.33..it wasn't doing what I wanted so I should have got out but didn't . Got in at 2.35 and got out at 2.10 not bad but not good.. but key thing is try to cut losses quickly and go in with a plan if the plan is not going the way you want at any moment get out!!
Could be a good thing. You learned a valuable lesson. Imagine if you hit and the next one you got bolder and took a bigger loss. As long as you learn from it, this loss could make you plenty of $$ in the future
