The stock continued its bounce after a small dip. II was able to capitalize on it. found this stock myself with % Change Gainers on THINKORSWIM (TD)
Caught a dip and rip on this one midday. Stock was being talked about in chatrooms and social media platforms. got another surge of volume and broke high of day for a third time so far today.
Bought on news of corona virus vaccine. Sold a little early , could've made a little more. Green is Green. Stock kept going to a new 52 week high.
Bought in on continued spike around 11:50am. OPGN started to drop fast after I bought and I didn't adhere to my rules to cut the loss. Thinking it may short squeeze I continued holding, but OPGN consolidated at 15.50ish. Continued holding waiting for the 2pm breakout that did not happen. It was either take a big loss or hold overnight. These coronavirus plays have the potential to spike into the next day opening and it worked out for me. I definitely need to study more and trade less.
Bought in on spike at 11:40am and quickly sold at 11:45 for a small profit.
Followed rule #1 this time. small loss, but the trades made today were a disaster. I was my own worse enemy. I need to be more disciplined.
