@mrsunny @PoolShark what are the pre-reqs to short? I too hve a scottrade a/c but not sure how one can start shorting?

@april4 You need to have a Margin Account and Scottrade only allows shorting stocks that are $5 or higher and not all stocks can be shorted. On several occasions my short trades were not approved and got canceled may be due to high-volatility and non-availability.

I have a hard time trying to find great plays. Tim said to be picky and play only the great plays and not to scalp. Pick the stocks that is worthy to play. Is there an indication/catalyst that this stock is about to explode? I'm new and learning. However, I have not seen any stocks going supernova yet. Do you have that problem when creating a watch list? Thanks.

IDXG always tanks. Check out the 3 month chart on where it has "spiked" on good news, but came crashing down quickly. It never holds it gains. Sorry man.

@Torkers I bought at 1.86. It went up to about 1.99 and went down below 1.80. I didn't want to hold it overnight without any advice, so I sold it at 1.80 to be safe.

$1.86 is waaay too high for the time being but HOLD any such position. OWCP has announcement pending, important announcement of a new product. The word is that end of April the announcement will be out. Plus, they are going to Cannabis Conference in Monte Carlo where they will most likely be promoting cannabis medications for the European markets. Bankers will be there as the owner of OWCP is a Jewish banker from Colorado.
