For your size account you will need to use the off shore provider suretrader

IB has too high of a minimum for my account, Suretrader looks great but the fees will eat you alive.

Use Venom by Cobra Trading to get IB borrows and clearing firm. Venom clears through IB with similar commission structure and account minimum is $5K.

This is why I'm confused with it.. I'm finding it hard to believe that speedtrader has that kind of opening deposit requirements

Pete714 Mar 16, 18 4:51 AM

That and in Tim g's video, he says he started with 1500, plus 12k something from his parents, and that he has used speedtrader since day 1. He also opened 3 accounts to get 9 day trades instead of 3. This is why I'm so confused with speedtrader supposed "minimum" their stating.

to open an account with speedtrader you need 25k, you can withdraw the funds after it clears your account if you like.

geez.. cut off... I had one buy and one sell within one day, and they haven't done anything other than send me a reminder warning - just to remind me that I cannot buy... But, I couldn't anyway seeing that the funds are not showing as "available" anyway.

So, it's a moot point. But, to address this issue, I only play half of my cash right now which leaves the other half available if something else comes up within that same week.

In short, Etrade guy is only correct in this one particular scenario because you bought twice now. Otherwise, yes you can buy and sell - once in a day. Then, wait three days... which is really four.. ...

Nice video, thanks for sharing! Quick question, so do you trade the 5 min setup all through the day? or do you switch to 1 min too?

Generally I just use the 5 minute chart. If it is really volatile I will use the 1 minute within th econtext of the 5 minute

Really like how you use the 5 and 15. We follow so many stocks from day to day and have to move on the fly. I find myself going back and looking at the 5 and 10 day charts. So the 5 and 15 provide a good frame of reference. Thanks for the tip.

go long, focus on % gainers, volatile stocks, but that's just my opinion.

hello. getting a margin account is not hard with etrade. message support and have them assist you with getting it. i now trade with IB but when i traded with etrade i used etrade pro just to execute orders and stocks to trade for everything else.

I use IB for 95% of my trades. I use STT as a scanner, but often rely on Etrade Pro because it is more dependable. I would strongly recommend having some kind of back up data. The good thing about Etrade is that they have always given me Pro for free. I hear Suretrader has better Share Availability, but they are also a sketchy offshore broker so I would not use them personally.

Great advice guys, thank you! Madbash, how do you get Etrade Pro for free!?

if you checked daily chart you would have seen a support level @2.06 and when it opens after the first spike and then you could dip bought it somewhere on the 2.10ish risking that level, i think its better than buying on a spike .. this is my point of view .. yours could be correct but you dont have a soild r/r .. its ok bro every loss is a lesson and you must write it down so you wont forget it next time .. also another play would be long the perks after consolidation ... good luck

I'm still learning too. I bought at $3.10 and was about to cut losses at $3.03 then shot up to $3.30. Lesson learned. Be cautious but also patient!
