CAUTION: Crazy idea area!
Using the TOS scanner you can find, or try to find, those early morning runners with volume that may have come out of nowhere for whatever reason. It's kind of chaotic but so is trading low float penny stocks.
This is the simple TOS script that looks for the the % change in volume today compared to yesterday.
def v1 = volume from 1 bars ago;
def v = volume;
plot vc =(v - v1) / v1 * 100;
I have simply named this V%C.
I don't trade with this all the time because my watchlist is already in place (your should be too) and I am ready for the day. However, I do run this scan for curiousity's sake because there are times when your tickers can be dead in the water and there could be that unknown runner that turns into a major player for the day = get in on the trend early.
Again, this is not a recommended way to trade but may be useful in some way.

There were no volume surges this morning that had the actual volume to back up the move. Even though the volume % increase on a few of these were up to 500% greater than the day before the actual volume for the morning was still too low to trade along with the charts being failures. Again, this is just a method to look for possible runners.
I'm actually 'happy' that nothing showed up like $AEHR did yesterday. Why? Because nothing in trading, or life, is gauranteed. You still have to do your homework.
TOS was sluggish because the video recorder takes up a lot of resources. Memory is good. Your CPU processor speed takes a beating with all of this too.
$SSY did show up about 15 or 20 minutes after the open on the scan but you need to make a decision or draw the line when to stop scanning. Do not rely on this to make those trading decisions for you.
@Palmer Cool feedback-it's helping a lot of us. Yes, exercising is so important. I try to take a 2-3 hour bike ride every other day-pump the tunes & think about all the good things that are working out...crucial to train our mindset! :))
hey can you do video on how to add the yesterday volume, volume change etc at the volume box thanks.
That's a custom indicator...stand bt
