I wear contacts most of the time and my charts are set with a dark background where most of my screen time is a few hours each day but still experience eye strain almost daily. When wearing glasses still get the fatigue.
For those that might use a white chart background (just not a big fan of that) or any other set-up color combination, did that reduce the eye fatigue or any other remedies that you might have found?
I do 'walk away' or stop monitoring during the day to give my eyes, and back, a rest but the eye strain always comes back.
Any suggestions that helped you would be appreciated.
Thanks

Computer Vision Syndrome or Digital Eye Strain. Read more about it on Google. I've been using the Gunnar computer glasses with yellow lenses. They help tremendously especially if you get migraines. They basically filter out the bright white light or glare. Make sure the glasses cover your eyes well. Avoid the skinny fashionable ones. Reduce the contrast and brightness on your monitors. Improve your posture and fix the lighting in your room. Some heavy tech users now stand rather than si
Some heavy tech users now stand rather than sit to improve health. (i.e. - Nate from Investors Underground). Use lubricating or artificial tear drops as needed. When resting, use the 20 20 20 rule to re-adjust your eyes or rest your eyes closed every 30 min. If things worsen see an eye doctor.
TraderH is on the money. I also use computer glasses. I think even cheapo shooting glasses work to block out blue lightwaves. I also stand while trading. I picked this up from Jesse Livermore's books on trading...
