Hey man, yes I'm Canuckistani lol. Questrade can do shorts but I've never had much luck securing them, even on blue chips. I suppose you'd have to call them to clarify. I'm no shorter anyway so I haven't looked into it. You're probably better off going with IB Canada or Suretrader. I have a tiny account which I opened before I knew about Suretrader and that's pretty much only reason I'm with Questrade.

I think it started when I tried to transition into swing last August and again in October. Got caught with bags and ended up shellshocked. Got discouraged for a while watching bags grow. Cut, went back to drawing board for new year then started with few hundred $ loss right out of gate. BUT changed it up again, narrowed focus and now back to doing what I know how to do. Good week last week and good start this week. Tired of being a piker.

I'm playing with 1k of house stock, so far have made 5500 on stock and around that on options. I'm looking to write more short puts around 6.50. I could have made a few more refinements to play it better like letting some puts get assigned rather than close early, but when isn't that the case.

Let me clarify, I'd like to see the price drop to 6.50 to look at puts, but it's nice that it was 7.40s this week so I could write covered calls for decent premium.

To answer your first question I sold probably 90% of my holdings when it was above 10. If I was smarter I would have sold all and shorted!

Ok, Thanks Entrada, I sold some puts on MNKD but only 3 times. Maybe I'll take a look to play on the 6.50 ish. But I think for the moment there is more in the VXX, since we cannot get much lower
