Hey all Nicky here, I wanted to blog my opinion on the price/share vs. the benefit of the gains. Much like yourself I like the lower the price shares/stock because the more shares you can buy thus creating a higher odds for high gains. On the flip side of this if you don't stick to rule number 1 and cut losses early your losses can get out of control. BEEN THERE! A great example of the cost vs the benefit is the ticker RIOT. Say you have 2500 to invest in RIOT and you go long at 15.50 like it was. That would put you at a low amount of share thus allowing you to get out its with minimal losses. Now on the flip side RIOT finished strong and aside from the share price was a perfect overnight hold that opened up at 23.60 going to a high of the day of 23.70. Thats over 5 dollars/ share! Chan ching! Entering with a low position to minimize your losses yet there was a great upside to make significant gains with a small position. Now I still recommend looking at lower priced stocks but this is a strategy I used when the set up is right. Just wanted to through out more ideas.
Remember the trick is the set up needs to be right
Trade Green and cheers..
Nicky
Yeah - agree but also things happen really fast on the low price tickers so it takes a while to get used to this voilatility but thats the name of the game =)
