Sometime in December 2014 I began to study trading, Today I decided that today would be the day I setup and loaded my brokerage account. As I set it up I was a little nervous but knew it had to be done at some point.
I was instantly intimidated when I downloaded the trading platform, it all looked so confusing and a little doubt started to creep in. When I loaded my account I felt that kind of nervous excitment you feel right before you take a beautiful woman home. You know your in there as long as you don't do anything stupid.
You cant jump the gun you have to be patient and feel the situation out.
I didn't want to just dive in and start forcing trades, especially after getting intimidated by the confusing looking interface.
Something like this would give losers a reason to quit, doubt themselves and lead themselves to failure. Moments like these you have to push thru, so that's what I did.
The first thing I looked for was the "Reset to Defaults" button so I could play freely and not blow anything up. I knew what it should look like becasue of multi-millionaire traders like Tim Sykes so I set out to get my trade screen to look exactly like his.
I just started clicking away, pressing this button, that button and when things looked completly out of whack I just hit the "Reset to Default" button. If I hadn't of been watching videos everyday in my Silver Membership I would of been totally lost and frustrated. I wouldn't of known how it should've looked, or what I was lookng at.
Good thing for mentors...
After a few hours of playing around with it, my trade platform screen looked pretty damn close to the millionaire trader I'm modeling. I felt comfortable and could navigate pretty easily.
I could've just started making trades with the original setup, but it needed a little tweaking now I'm satiesfied that fear wasn't allowed to take power over me and casue me to quit like some POS loser. Quitting is never an option for me and it shouldn't be for anyone else either.
Success takes commitment and dedication, and whether your man enough to admit it or not, fear is the primary driving factor that causes people to give up. If you don't try you cant fail right? All people need is one little thing to get in their way so they can say "I knew this would never work"
So be it, that's great for them but that's not acceptable for me.
"Fear doesn't prevent death, it prevents living" - Something My Grandma Always Says
It's good to have a healthy respect for fear, but not let it control you.
Now don't go the opposite direction and yell from the top of a mountain "I AM FEARLESS" or you'll make bad trading desicions and blow up your account faster than you can read this post.
Don't be afraid to lose a little money at first, consider it an investment in your education, but just make sure you are learning from your mistakes and being smart.
Now I need to get back to studying, and get ready for tommrow. I'm excited to start trading but I won't rush or force trades, I'll just wait for the setups that I'm learning here
Peace
