Let me make this clear and simple: I'm by no means giving up on the millionaire challenge. The reason that i'm suspending my trading for now at least, is so that I am currently going back to school to complete my throw away degree and then possibly going to further my education.
Why am I doing this?
Answers? Psychology and safety. I've been doing the Tim challenge for years and want to make it my full time gig. However, i'm getting older and have been afraid that if this doesn't work, then I don't have any type of backup plan which had/s been affecting me emotionally. With the sense of a backup plan, I will no longer have this monkey on my back and will hopefully be able to work in the afternoons and trade or just trade and live off of what I make, along with further diversification of my investments to grow my revenue stream. Initially, I thought that I could do both my schooling and trading, but I find that in order to do well in school I need to concentrate on that and put the stock market on hold for at least a couple of months (only have four classes to take to graduate). After which, I will look to hit the stock market again along with possibly mapping out going for more schooling if I still can't get it in gear.
Bottom line: In the sake of communication, I am being as open and transparent as possible in my trading journey and no matter how long this will take I will reach my goal, which is to be self sufficient and to diversify that income stream through a variety of means and to travel the world and experience life.
I think you are making a very wise decision. Unless the world comes to an end the market will be here when you graduate
