Since I started doing the stock market, I have been trading for over 6 years since my high school days, but could never get any success with trading, because like the masses I was just doing whatever. so I began to fulfill another one of my goals which was a good clean diet. To this I was confused about, not knowing which way to turn as different people said different things and common misconceptions prevented me from seeing the clear path. Then one day, a customer walked into my workplace and introduced me to the Keto diet. He kept telling me that fat was great for you, and I kept saying and thinking, "that'll clog your arteries!" (not realizing that sugar was the key to it all) I started doing massive amounts of research on it and began to make sense. Fat is the insulin buffer, which allows your body to go muchhhhh longer without eating and thus discipline started. At first before the diet, I semi fasted till around 2-4pm before I ate my first meal, which I then would eat another meal before work at around 6:30. By the middle of my shift, I was starving and cranky from low blood sugar and would run for a snack that was usually a box, yessss, I said a box of entemann's doughnuts! (cringe) anyway, I slowly cleaned up my diet to where instead of eating 2 meals with a horrible snack, I ate spinach and peanut butter instead. Then I began my kept journey going from that to just two meals a day. I went for probably over 200g of sugar easily per week down to under 60 along with the carbs. I started feeling the difference. After going on keto, I noticed I no longer had to snack between my shifts and my insulin resistance was slowly being fixed, my eyesight which had been declining slowly over the years had suddenly stopped, my allergy symptoms have been less, I dropped a full pant size, Don't have the brain fog like I used to, and I now can do one meal a day without snacking.
I admit, I'm a sugar addict. I work in one of the worst places for that, the super market! If i'm doing returns, I pass right by the bakery and say,"mmmmm, that chocolate cake looks good, or those doughnuts" (to myself) Even during keto, I get these cravings and it can be very hard to resist. I've eaten sometimes sayyyy, half of a BIG cake in one sitting! so recently, I've been forcing myself not to cheat, because usually it really messes me up, making me dizzy, out of focus, head inflammation and just not well to the point i've thrown up.
What do I eat? First thing I do is eat around 11:30am to fit it around the stock market. I have a good handful of nuts such as macadamia nuts, with are rich in omega 3,9 fats, pecans which are loaded with fat, and brazil nuts for my daily selenium supply. Then I have a quarter bowl of heavy cream with either cinnamon maple extract and 2 packs of stevia thrown in for my ultra low carb no sugar desert, or coffee extract, peanut butter powder, and cacao powder which done right, tastes almost like a recess I kid you not. Then 8ounces of grass fed beef cooked with pink salt turmeric and cayenne pepper, 1 small chicken sausage, 3 eggs with some cheese and different toppings, 7-8 ounces of kale, a spoonful of chia seeds, and a lemon ginger drink I make.
Okay, so now you're wondering how this relates to the stock market right? okay, so basically with this diet as I kind of explained before, I have better mental clarity, more discipline and more confidence in myself that i'm achieving something great. I feel like I no longer have to be distracted by food and can push harder then I have before, especially since I lift weights and walk up and run down the mountain. It has also taught me just like I don't need to overeat, I don't need to overtrade (which still is a problem but I feel that i'm getting better at) plus to resist the temptation of those sweets i'm applying to just trading random setups.
Remember folks, you can't put a price on good health. You can have all the $ in the world, but if you're not in good health and you're constantly sick, what good is it?
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and I will get back to you asap.
Thank you,
Kyle
