I'll admit the fiend in me took another discretionary oil short with entry like two or three days ago, closed today and it was just small $280 profit cause frankly I knew better than to be trading like that. Of course @CL dropped like a dollar afterwards but I fought the urge of regret, knowing that I have algos activated that will never steer me wrong. Sure there will be missed wins, but also missed losses which is really the best part. I know damn near exactly how often my algos will win and lose. For instance I have one that won today, after a 7 win streak. In its history backtest its only had a better streak once, with 10 wins, but never 9 wins and this was the first 8 win streak. Had only four 7 wins. So what to do, turn off the algo, letting it take that next trade without me as a loss? well luckily the ave losses are only about 25% of what the ave win is, so I could leave it on and sit thru a loss. or I could turn off, let it lose and then turn back on. How much do I really want to babysit them? Also the only time it had a larger wining streak the ave win was about 40% more than what is got this streak. So anyways, best part about algo trading is that I don't care. I don't have to care, cause win or lose, the algo will take good care of me. I'll probably leave it on cause it won $980 today, but I'll probably turn it off cause how could it possible win again. Well the whole point is to just sit back and not have to care too much. So that's what I'll do, let it take a loss, or a win, who cares........
fuckin excuses bro! never put off your education.
I AGREE...SUCCES KNOWS NO ALIBIS!!
I have always wanted to subscribe to triforce and I am now in a place to move forward with this part of my education. I want your opinion, at what level do you think I should subscribe. I have been following the markets pretty closely now for 2 years and subscribing to Tim Sykes' penny stocking silver. But momentum trading is not my cup of tea. Should I start out with just his watchlist or should I go ahead and learn his algo stuff?
