@mcilveen Hello Mcilveen -- I have been watching the community a little trying to learn a bit before I plunge into signing up to help one of the gurus and I noticed that your style of trading is what I am comfortable with doing (most experience the last 6 years with). I had a quick question on what service you have signed up with and how you felt it has been? Are you a silver, tim alerts, something else? Thank you for your help, look forward to hearing from you. Michael

I was interested in doing the silver just so I can have access to the libraries. So do you simply participate in the Profit.ly dashboard just to be a part of the community? Do you do all your research on your own then? Thank you for the response

I'm not sure what service I will choose, but maybe Tim's or Superman's

So far I've been doing all the research on my own and I'm looking to have a big upsurge, beyond the current success of my portfolio.

Seems like you are doing a great job so far. I have always done my own research as well, and ready to take it a step further. I have always been more of a longer holder (months) and want to give the quick action a bit of a shot. Good luck with whatever service you choose and thanks for the help

@oproldan Hey Oproldan-- My name is Michael, I am just about to get started with Sykes and I noticed that you are currently an Optionshouse trader. That is the platform that I am using right now. I wanted to ask how it has worked for you being a part of Tim's program. Thank you for the insight and help. Michael

whats up mike. OH is good because its cheap, i also use IB. Not part of Tim's program, i'm part of sang lucci's, which is why i chose those brokers. View my profit chart, make a lot real quick, and then almost back to square one because i got over confident and didn't stick to basics. Good lessons learned, and im making my journey back and beyond.

I did look at that-- you were killing it. Good lessons learned, right? Can you tell me more about Sang Lucci? Is he/she a guru that you can pay to follow? Are there video lessons that you have learned from, or just previous experience? Thanks for the help. I might have a couple more questions if you don't mind. Really interested in getting into this soon. Especially for the summer. Thank You

no, he doesn't give you alerts to buy or sell. trade alerts don't work, and its not reliable to copy and paste. give a man a fish he'll eat for a day, teach a man how to fish and he'll eat forever. Over the long run, id rather learn then get lucky hits here and there. You'll feel better about yourself too. The best traders in the world don't copy. go to his site and call him, they will pick up i guarantee you.

I feel ya about the alerts being a shot in the dark. I have been trading now for 6 years and been successful on my own just fine, but always want to learn more. I looked at Sang Lucci-- did you do the 12-Day right away, or did you do the Starter Course first? Thanks again for all your help, just want to get as much info as possible, you know?

@richinminutes Hey, I am currently looking into joining up with Tim Sykes and doing one of the programs but I am looking for a current user to answer some real basic questions for me. I can tell that you update often and are quite active and was hoping you would be able to help me out a little. I don't even know if this is the proper channel and you'll get this. My name is Michael, by the way. Looking forward to hearing from you.

@roodastockguru Hello, my name is Michael-- I am investigating good ole Tim Sykes and seeing if this is something that I would like to do. I have watched the community a bit on here and it seems like you have been very active for the last 4 months and I was hoping to catch somebody to talk to a bit and maybe ask a few questions. Would you mind if I pick your brain a little bit? Thank you for your time and good luck. Michael

Im using think or swim (tdameritrade) majority of the time. I think for shorting stocks there are better platforms like Tim recommends

I was thinking about opening up another account with TDAmeritrade. Thanks for your help. One last question-- Has this been a positive experience for you? Would you recommend it to others? Have the TIM Alerts and chatroom been beneficial? Thanks for your help... I really appreciate it.

I like Tdameritrade plus they have like free trades for 2 or 3 months if promotions still going. I have never used the chat room. The tim alerts are ok, but you have to be super fast the market moves quick. It is a good way to learn to see when he is buying and why. I don't always recommend following his alerts but helpful to follow the trades to see if you can see what he sees. This is where his DVDs are helpful

Good to know about TDAmeritrade. Interesting about the alerts.. sounds like that is what most people are interested in, but glad that not everything is relied upon from that.
