Hello profitly community, I just wanted to write this post and share my journey so far as I just finished the second green week with very nice statistics. I feel like things clicked and I have found a reliable strategy that suits me and also strengthened several key habits, such as not always shooting for home runs, waiting like a sniper for your setup, not overtrading, position sizing correctly and cutting losses quickly.

 

I would like to start by saying that I'm using tradezero as my broker and they are not listed on profitly so I cannot import my trades and so far importing them manually is just too big of a pain in the butt.

On the 10th of April I had 949 USD in my small account and in the following two weeks it has climbed up to 1338,33 USD.

 

I will write more posts in the future detailing the strategy I use more but I just wanted to write this and hopefully motivate someone who is starting in a similar fashion. Even though I am only two weeks in on my live trading journey I have paper traded for the past 3 months and also studied my ass off for the past year and a half and I believe I have what it takes to keep this level of consistency.

 

I also wanted to share some of my rituals I do on a daily basis to help me maintain a good daytrading mindset.

- Of course I keep statistics of my trades, although I don't include commissions into the PL section but I use it more to gauge how good my risk managment was.

- I also screenshots my trades and put them in a word document with commentary and reasonings behind the trade as well as any mistakes made.

- I also have a daily report card where I basically grade myself on how well have I stuck to my most important rules.

- at the end of the week I use the trading simulator to replay all of the stocks I have traded that day and make sure I play them the right way which works as practice and reinforces good habits.

 

I will probably start writing more detailed posts with trade recaps in the future now that I have become used to trading live and the emotions it brings but again I just wanted to write this to share a little part of the beginning of my journey and to inspire others, even though my profits aren't huge it's still a big gain for such a small account.
